Un Demonio Creado por Nosotros...

Ayer en la noche terminé de leer un libro de Richard Bookstaber titulado "A Demon of Our Own Design" el cual desarrolla ideas sobre el peligro de la innovación y complejidad de los nuevos instrumentos financieros, y cómo eventualmente estos nos llevarían al colapso del sistema financiero. Les dejo el último párrafo el cual es concluyente:

"Simpler financial instruments and less leverage make up a painfully obvious prescription for fixing the design of our markets. These modifications will lead to a financial marketplace that will be apparently less finely tuned an less responsive to investors needs. But, like a coarse response mechanism of the cockroach, when faced with inevitable march of events that we cannot even contemplate, simpler financial instruments and less leverage will create a market that is more robust and survivable"

Bookstaber trabajó en varios bancos de inversión y Hedge Funds, por lo que conoce al "demonio" por dentro...
